    Sam received an adaptive bike
Our little buddy Sam is enjoying his new bike. Sam, who loves to swim, play outside and watch Disney movies, came to us via his sister-in-law who was looking for an adaptive bike like the one he enjoys at school. With Sam's autism, a specialized bike with a seat belt, pedal loops and hand brakes allows him the freedom of playing around with the kids at school and home. Working with Rifton, we found just the right bike for Sam and had it shipped to our partners at Custom Concrete in Carmel. Brad and his cohorts finished the assembly of the bike and delivered it to Sam's family just before Christmas 2005. Thanks you to all who made it possible for Sam to be free wheelin'!

Brian and Carolyn received new bicycles
Twice as nice describes Brian and Carolyn. In November 2005, we were introduced to this awesome pair of children. Brian was 12 years old and Carolyn was 11 years old at the time. Both are faced with the challenges of autism and severe mental delays. This family hoped to find some type of bicycles that would allow them to spend quality time together as a family along with their 8 year old daughter. Working with the great people at Worksman Cycles, we were able to have specialized bikes designed (two bikes to allow mom and dad to each transport a child), one in mercury blue and another in California pink. Mom tells us that this gift gave them the precious gift of family togetherness.

    Kyle received a side-by-side bicycle
Kyle is a vibrant young autistic child. It was Kyle and his Mom's dream come true to receive a side-by-side bike that allowed him to ride his bike with his twin brother and older sister. Before, because of his limitations, he was stuck watching them ride bikes from the window. Now Kyle gets to ride with his brother and sister. This has opened up many possibilities for him and his entire family. They are now able to take family bike rides!
