Hannah received a right-handed computer keyboard
Hannah came to us with the referral of our friends Greg and Tressa Basey. Hannah is a 9 year-old cutie who triumphs over things like blindness, cerebral palsy, seizure disorder and arachnoid cysts in the right hemisphere of her brain. Through all of this she gets around amazingly well. Her mom's original request was going to be a large tricycle, but due to an upcoming surgery on her left leg, her mom felt that, with the down-time from the surgery, Hannah would be better served by providing her with a right-handed keyboard for her computer. She uses one in school which allows her the ability to keep up with school work quite a bit easier and faster. With her vision difficulties it is hard to concentrate on reading and writing. This new keyboard works strictly using her right hand, which is wonderful since Hannah's left side does not have the strangth and abilities of her right side. We are very happy to have been a part of improving Hannah's computer experience.

    Andrew receives a printer/scanner
Andrew and his mom contacted us in June of 2007. Together they were looking for a printer/scanner so that papers could be scanned to larger print in order that Andrew will be able to read bills, mail, directions and other materials. Andrew is legally blind and lives with some mental and communication delays. Mom already had software for their computer that would read the print, but did not have the printing means. The computer was donated by their church. We are proud to have purchased the printer/scanner and are happy to have been a part of increasing Andrew's independence.
