Hearing Aides and Smoke Alarms that we have been able to provide with your support
Cody received hearing aides
January of 2006 brought us Cody. Cody's teacher contacted us asking for help in supplying Cody with
new hearing aides. After speaking with his mother and finding out that insurance excluded hearing aides
and examinations for the prescribing and fitting of such aides, we went into action. Our friends
at Otolaryngology Associates
worked with us in examining and fitting Cody for the aides he needed. A note of thanks sent from
Cody brought a smile to our faces knowing he is no longer missing out on his surroundings.

Hearing impaired students received specialized smoke alarms
At the beginning of 2006 and again at the start of the 2007 school year, we were contacted by the deaf
and hearing impaired program of
R.I.S.E. Learning Center with the request of providing smoke alarms for their
students. We were only too happy to get involved with this project. With the help of
Harris Communications,
we were able to provide 35 deaf or hard of hearing children with specialized smoke alarms. These alarms not
only put out a loud audio alarm, but also have a very bright strobe light that activates should there
be a fire. The peace of mind provided to the children and their parents was apparent in the many thank
you letters we received. We say thank you to these families for allowing us the opportunity to be a
part of your lives.

Dustin received hearing aides
September 2007 brought us Dustin. Dustin is being raised by his grandparents. Dustin's audiologist
contacted us looking for help in providing Dustin with new hearing aides. Funds generously given by our
suppourters allowed us to provide Dustin with Phonak Extra 411AZ Power hearing aides. These aides
are allowing Dustin to enjoy life and have a more active experience at school.
